1. Overview
At Peludnik, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and process your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users located in the European Union.
2. Data we collect
- Account information: Email address and optional display name (processed via Supabase Auth).
- Tracked allergens & location: The pollen allergens you choose to track, and your last known location (latitude/longitude), stored in your account so the app can show a personalized risk score and forecast.
- Notification preferences: Whether alerts are enabled, your chosen reminder times, and a device push token, used only to deliver your daily pollen notification.
- Location data: Precise GPS coordinates are used in-session on your device to fetch local pollen and air quality data. Your last known coordinates are also stored in your account (see above) so scheduled notifications can check conditions without the app open.

4. Your GDPR rights
If you are a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right to access: You can request a copy of the data we hold.
- Right to rectification: You can update your information.
- Right to erasure: You can delete your account and all data via the Profile screen in the app.
- Right to data portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object: You can object to data processing.
5. Data retention
- Account & preference data: Your account information, tracked allergens, last known location, and notification preferences are retained on our servers for as long as your account remains active. We do not set an automatic expiry on this data — it exists until you delete it or delete your account.
- Account deletion: Deleting your account from the Profile screen permanently and immediately removes your account and all associated data from our production systems.
- Location data: Precise GPS coordinates used to fetch pollen and air quality data are not retained after the request completes. Your last known coordinates, stored separately to power notifications, are deleted immediately when you delete your account.
- On-device data: Pollen, air quality, and AI insight results are cached locally on your device to reduce network requests. This local cache is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
6. No tracking or sale of data
Peludnik does not sell your personal data. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.
